What is the number one nutrient for increasing and maintaining bone density?
CALCIUM!

We all know that calcium is needed for bone and teeth health. However, if you are deficient in calcium, it is then leached from you bones causing you to lose bone density. Your body absorbs calcium more easily from food than supplements.
Here are some good sources of calcium in food:
- Dairy products, if you are lactose intolerant look for calcium fortified beverages
- Green vegetables such as broccoli, kale, and bok choy
- Some fruits such as oranges, apricots, and dried figs
- Canned fish with soft edible bones, such as mackeral and sardines
- Nuts, especially almonds!
